I found the story for Claymore too... meh, and stopped watching after the 2nd or 3rd ep. Plus, she looked like she was going to snap around the stomach because she was so skinny. The manga looks pretty though.
Code Geass has some awesome drawing, but that first episode, I couldn't stop laughing at how they met almost the same way as Asuran and Kira,lol! And they have weird girls in there. And I like funny stuff more than mecha and weird girls. I might stop watching it. But sometimes the drawings for not-my-type animes are just too attractive... And I'm also especially judgmental when it comes to story and character design, lol. That is why I never imagined you would watch some of the stuff that was on your list.
